Tourists booking hammam experiences at Bukhara's historic bathhouses, including Hamman Bozori Kord near Lyabi-Hauz, Hammom Kunjak, and Shahriston Hammam Bathhouse, are frequently sold a package advertised as 60 to 80 minutes with massage, scrubbing, and peeling for 400,000 to 450,000 som (around $30), but staff cut the actual treatment to 30 to 45 minutes with only a rushed 5-minute massage before ending the session. Multiple travelers report being charged tourist-specific rates two to three times higher than locals pay for the same service.
