Fake Beach Access and Parking Permit Sellers

Scammers posing as parking or beach staff sell unofficial "daily beach permits" near the entrance roads to popular Cape Cod National Seashore beaches such as Coast Guard Beach and Nauset Light Beach. The printed cards look plausible but are not issued by the National Park Service or local towns. Visitors who display them still receive legitimate parking violations. The scam spikes during Fourth of July week and August when lots fill early and frustration runs high.
