Fraudulent websites mimicking legitimate Diani Beach resort and villa rental platforms have been reported by visitors who paid deposits that were never credited on arrival. The sites use real property photos scraped from legitimate listings, show fake "only 2 rooms left" countdown timers, and request payment via wire transfer or M-Pesa to avoid chargebacks. Some sites also harvest credit card details entered during the fake booking process.
