Staff use confusion over packages to add on data bundles and international call credits the tourist did not ask for. By the time the tourist notices the charge, they have already left the counter. Do not buy a SIM at the airport. Virgin Mobile UAE and du SIM cards are available at any mall kiosk including Carrefour in the Dubai Mall or Mall of the Emirates for a fraction of the price. Compare the itemised receipt before handing over payment.
