Unofficial Border Crossing Fee Collectors

Individuals posing as officials near the Yitzhak Rabin border crossing between Eilat and Aqaba solicit cash fees for assistance with paperwork, priority processing, or bag handling. These are not official services and the money goes directly to the individuals. Some also offer currency exchange at rates considerably worse than official exchanges on either side of the border.
