ATM Skimming in Resort Areas

Card skimming devices have been found on ATMs in and around the Yumbo Centre and the main tourist shopping centres of Playa del Ingles. Criminals attach overlay readers to card slots and use pinhole cameras above keypads to capture full card data. Gran Canarias large, year-round tourist population makes it an attractive target for organised skimming gangs.
