Myrtos Beach Parking Fee Scam

Unofficial individuals set up makeshift parking areas near the access road to Myrtos beach and charge visitors a fee, claiming parking is controlled and mandatory. There is no official paid parking at Myrtos; the fee goes entirely to the individual. Visitors who refuse are sometimes told their car will be ticketed or towed.
