Individuals stationed along Hollywood Boulevard approach tourists with clipboards claiming to collect signatures for charitable causes such as children with disabilities or animal shelters. After getting a signature, they demand a cash donation and become aggressive when declined. Some operate in coordinated groups covering the entire Walk of Fame stretch.
