Unlicensed Taxi Overcharging

Private cars and unofficial taxis wait outside clubs on the Mambo Strip at closing time and offer rides to hotels at flat rates three to five times the licensed fare. Some drivers accept payment on boarding and then refuse to go to the agreed destination, demanding additional cash. The official taxi rank is a short walk from the strip and charges metered rates.
