ATM Skimming Near Temple Square and Gateway District

Card skimming devices have been found on standalone ATMs near Temple Square on N. Temple Street and in the Gateway District retail development on 400 W. In a city that attracts large numbers of domestic tourists and religious pilgrims unfamiliar with the area, these machines see high transaction volumes that make skimming operations financially viable. The SLC International Airport terminal ATMs have also been targeted.
