Cathedral Compostela Certificate Fee Scam

Near the Pilgrim Office on Rúa das Carretas, unofficial touts approach newly arrived pilgrims offering to "expedite" or "reserve" their Compostela certificate for a fee of €5–€20. The Compostela is issued free of charge by the official Pilgrim Reception Office to anyone who has walked at least 100km or cycled 200km with a correctly stamped credential. No intermediary or reservation fee exists.
