Why it matters
Most scams are not one-time events. They repeat in the same areas, follow similar scripts, and target travelers who have not seen the pattern before.

What Happens
After Submission
We review each report for clarity, duplicate patterns, and destination relevance. Reports that are too vague or unsupported may be held for follow-up.
When a report aligns with known activity, we use it to strengthen existing warnings. If it indicates a new tactic, we flag it for editorial review before publishing.
Writing Tips
How To Describe
a Scam Clearly
The most useful reports explain the timeline, not just the outcome. Start with where you were, what the person said first, how the situation escalated, and how money or valuables were requested.
If possible, include details such as transport type, uniforms, signs, business names, or phrases used. These clues help identify whether the scam is isolated or part of a recurring script already seen in other reports.
Try to avoid only writing "I got scammed" without context. Clear details help us publish stronger warnings that other travelers can recognize quickly.
