Budget hotels and apartment rentals near Alanya beach strip routinely charge large cash security deposits at check-in and then invent damage claims at checkout. The manager is unavailable, staff insist damage existed and refuse to return the deposit, knowing most tourists are leaving the next day and cannot pursue the dispute.
