Fake Airbnb and Bogotá Apartment Rental Fraud

Fraudulent listings on rental platforms advertise well-photographed apartments in Chapinero Alto and La Candelaria at below-market rates. Victims transfer a deposit or full payment and either receive keys to an apartment belonging to someone else or are simply ghosted. Some scammers re-list real apartments they found on Airbnb, undercutting the price and collecting payments outside the platform to avoid protections.
