Friendly-local 'let me buy you a drink' bill stick

Along the Kandy-Ella rail corridor and in town a sociable stranger befriends a traveller and suggests a drink or meal at a place they 'recommend'. The local orders freely, then slips off to the toilet and never returns, leaving the tourist with an inflated combined bill while the scammer collects a cut from the venue.
