How it works

Tour desks operated by or affiliated with hotels in the Yasmine Hammamet and Hammamet hotel zone sell excursions at significant markups over independent operators. Guests are quoted prices for desert tours, Tunis day trips, and water park packages at two to three times the cost available outside the hotel. Some hotel staff also push room upgrade offers and "all-inclusive extension" packages that offer poor value compared to booking directly. Independent tour operators outside the hotel entrance offer the same itineraries for substantially less.
