Macuco Safari "Upgrade" Bait-and-Switch

Touts operating near the Macuco Safari boat ride entrance and along the upper circuit trail offer last-minute "VIP upgrade" packages that promise shorter queues or additional experiences. Payment is taken in cash by individuals who appear to be official staff. In most cases the upgrade provides no benefit and the money goes to the tout rather than the operator. Complaints to park staff reveal no such upgrade program exists.
