Guesthouse Overbooking in Dotonbori Area

During peak travel periods — cherry blossom season (late March–April) and autumn leaves (November) — some smaller guesthouses and capsule hotels in the Namba and Dotonbori area accept reservations beyond their actual capacity. Guests who arrive with a confirmed booking may be told the property is full and redirected to a partner property that is significantly more expensive or much further from the city centre. The original booking is not refunded until a dispute is raised with the platform.
