Some restaurants on the tourist strip in Albufeira Old Town display chalk boards or hand out menus with low prices to attract diners. When the bill arrives, customers find they were charged for a different, more expensive menu or that side dishes, bread, and covers were added without consent. This is particularly common around the Rua da Bateria area during summer peak season.
