Fake Hotel Booking Platform Listings

Some traveler reports from Hangzhou describe fraudulent accommodation listings on third-party aggregator sites, particularly for guesthouses and boutique hotels near West Lake. The listing photos show a desirable lakeside property, but on arrival the address either does not exist, belongs to a different business, or the property is substantially inferior to what was shown. Payment was collected upfront through the platform and refund disputes can take weeks to resolve.
