Fraudulent booking sites mimicking the official Hue Monuments Conservation Centre portal sell advance tickets to the Imperial Citadel and royal tombs at inflated prices of 400,000–600,000 VND, compared to the official walk-up rate of 200,000 VND. Tickets issued are sometimes invalid QR codes that are rejected at the gate. Scam sites appear prominently in paid search results for terms like "Hue Citadel ticket online." Victims discover the problem only upon arrival.
