When the bill arrives in EGP the total is much higher than expected, citing exchange rates or service fees not disclosed upfront. Always ask for a menu with prices clearly stated in Egyptian Pounds before ordering. Confirm the total before the food is brought if possible. Leave immediately if a restaurant cannot show you a priced menu.
