Some restaurants in the Pueblo de los Pescadores and along the main tourist drag in Las Terrenas present attractive front menus with fair prices to draw tourists in, then produce a different menu once seated with significantly higher prices. Fish dishes are frequently misrepresented, described as fresh local catch but served from frozen imports.
