Malecón Beach Vendor Overpricing and Harassment

On the public beach sections along the Malecón and near Playa Long Beach, vendors sell drinks, crafts, and henna tattoos at prices many times higher than normal local rates and do not state prices before delivering the product. Henna tattoo artists in particular apply the design before quoting a price, then refuse to remove it until paid. Persistent vendors follow tourists who decline and create public scenes.
