Unofficial online shops mimicking legitimate K-pop merchandise retailers accept payment for albums, photocards, and concert goods but either never ship the items or send cheap counterfeits. These sites are promoted heavily on social media and sometimes appear in paid search results. Victims typically lose 30,000–150,000 KRW per order with little recourse since the sellers operate from outside Korea.
